Our team has provided expert remote genetic counseling services to over 60,000 patients for the past five years, and now Metis has achieved the unique status of SOC2 certification for Genetics Maven™, our web-based telegenetic portal.

SOC2 (System and Organizational Control) is an auditing process examining inter-business relationships. SOC2 principles focus on service organizations. An SOC2 audit addresses external interactions that could affect internal or customer data security. This type of audit was developed as a way to encourage the implementation and oversight of proper security procedures. An SOC2 report focuses on the five Trust Service Criteria (TSC) principles: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy, as illustrated in the diagram below.¹

Metis underwent this audit from September 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020 and achieved SOC2 certification as a result of this process. We are thrilled to share this distinctive accomplishment with our clients, as the only telegenetic counseling platform that has been granted this certification.
